Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round baking pans and line with parchment paper.
- Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- For frosting, beat powdered sugar and butter together; gradually add milk until desired consistency is reached. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Once cakes are completely cooled, layer them with frosting in between, covering the outside with remaining frosting. Decorate with candy eggs as desired.
