Description

Apple chai crumble bars are a delightful treat that perfectly captures the essence of autumn. With a buttery, crunchy topping and a warm spiced apple filling, these bars are ideal for cozy gatherings or as a comforting dessert after a long day. Serve them warm with vanilla ice cream or enjoy at room temperature; either way, they promise to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp chai spice blend
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (cold)
  • 3 medium apples (like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and chai spice. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press half into the bottom of the pan.
  3. Peel and slice apples; toss with cinnamon and sugar before spreading over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle remaining crumble mixture atop the apples.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
  6. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
