  • 1 box (15.25 oz) Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) Vanilla Cake Mix
  • 2 cups Strawberry Syrup (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Water (as directed on cake mixes)
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans with nonstick spray.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions using eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Pour half of the batter into one prepared pan.
  3. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Repeat the same process for the vanilla cake mix in the second pan.
  4. Once cooled, poke holes all over each layer using a fork or skewer.
  5. Drizzle strawberry syrup generously over both layers while still in their pans and let them soak for an hour.
  6. Stack the layers on a serving platter, drizzle with more syrup, and serve.
