Ingredients
  

For the Tartlet Shells
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour a versatile base for a flaky crust

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract enhances flavor profile

  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting before serving

Method
 

Baking the Tartlets
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the tartlet shells by combining flour, butter, and sugar in a bowl. Mix until crumbly and press into your tartlet pans.
  3. Chill the prepared tartlet shells in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
  4. Bake the shells for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together ground almonds, sugar, eggs, and almond extract until smooth.
  6. Fill each tartlet shell with the almond mixture, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  7. Bake again for another 20-25 minutes until the filling is set and slightly puffed up.
  8. Cool the almond tartlets on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before serving.
