Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 1 cup cottage cheese preferably low-fat
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup for sweetness
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional, for extra richness

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a blender, combine cottage cheese, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), vegetable oil, and eggs. Blend until smooth.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour the blended mixture into the bowl and stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Bake the Brownies
  1. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
