Ingredients
  

Chocolate Pudding Layer
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
Whipped Cream Layer
  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cookie Crust Layer
  • 1 cup chocolate sandwich cookies crushed
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Method
 

Prepare Chocolate Pudding
  1. In a saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the milk while whisking to combine.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to boil.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and butter until smooth.
  5. Let the pudding cool slightly before layering.
Make Whipped Cream
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
Prepare Cookie Crust
  1. Combine the crushed cookies and melted butter in a bowl until well mixed.
Assemble Dessert Cups
  1. In dessert cups, layer the cookie crust, followed by chocolate pudding, and then whipped cream.
  2. Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
