Ingredients
  

Onion Rings
  • 2 large onions sliced into rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Onion Rings
  1. Slice the onions into rings and separate them.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Fry the Onion Rings
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully add the coated onion rings to the hot oil in batches.
  3. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve
  1. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
