Ingredients
  

Onion Rings
  • 2 large Onions sliced into rings
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs preferably panko for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Onions
  1. Slice the onions into 1/4 inch thick rings and separate them.
Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Fry the Onion Rings
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully place the coated onion rings in the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve
  1. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
