  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts such as almonds or walnuts
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit such as cranberries or raisins
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, peanut butter, honey, and ground flaxseed.
  2. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Once mixed, use your hands to form small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the energy balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
