Ingredients
  

Halibut Fillets
  • 4 fillets halibut about 6 ounces each
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Lemon Butter Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice about 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest fresh
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Halibut
  1. Pat the halibut fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cook the Halibut
  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the halibut fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Make the Lemon Butter Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.
Serve
  1. Plate the halibut fillets and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
