Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup Warm water About 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
Toppings
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce Pizza sauce or marinara
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • 1 cup Pepperoni slices
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano Optional
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes Optional

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Assemble the Pizza
  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a piece of parchment paper.
  4. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then top with pepperoni slices and optional seasonings.
  6. Carefully transfer the pizza (with parchment) to the preheated stone or baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve
  1. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  2. Slice with a pizza cutter and serve hot.

Notes

For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
