Ingredients
  

Beef
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast cut into large chunks
Vegetables
  • 4 medium carrots peeled and sliced
  • 3 stalks celery sliced
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
Liquids and Seasonings
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, season the beef chunks with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. In the slow cooker, layer the carrots, celery, onion, and garlic.
  3. Place the seasoned beef on top of the vegetables.
  4. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the beef.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  2. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and stir it back into the juices.
