  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
Lemon Beet Hummus
  • 1 medium beet cooked and peeled
  • 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Herb-Infused Hummus
  • 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs such as parsley and cilantro

Method
 

Classic Hummus
  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and cumin. Blend until smooth.
  2. Adjust consistency with water if necessary and blend again. Transfer to a serving bowl.
Lemon Beet Hummus
  1. In a food processor, combine cooked beet, chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add water to achieve desired consistency and blend again. Transfer to a serving bowl.
Herb-Infused Hummus
  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and fresh herbs. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add water to adjust consistency if needed and blend again. Transfer to a serving bowl.
