Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • food coloring green for tractor color
  • food coloring black for wheels
Decorations
  • 2 pieces chocolate cookies for wheels
  • 1 piece gummy candy for headlights

Method
 

Bake the Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let the cake cool completely before decorating.
Prepare the Frosting
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until combined.
  3. Add milk and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Divide the frosting into two bowls. Color one bowl green and the other black.
Decorate the Cake
  1. Using the green frosting, cover the top and sides of the cooled cake to resemble a tractor.
  2. Attach the chocolate cookies to the sides of the cake as wheels.
  3. Use the black frosting to add details to the wheels and other features.
  4. Place the gummy candy on the front for headlights.
